What people are saying...

The students in our Junior Kindergarten classes to our Grade 6 class were empowered by Tara Manuel's magical puppetry show. They were enthralled with the magic and animation of her production.

The imagery and atmosphere created by this production is intriguing and
captivating...students were very moved and could not wait to see "behind
the scenes." The humour and storyline was uplifting and sparked giggles
from all!
During the workshop, all students used their imagination to create and
bring to life a puppet from given materials. Students then used their
voices and imagination to experience what it's like "behind the scenes."

It was an entertaining performance which is important for my theatre class to see because it illustrates that performances targeted for a younger audience can have a wider appeal ... This format could be useful in many different courses to present
material and engage both young and older students. Several of my
level one students are anxious to construct a screen and lighting
system for others to use.

The students really enjoyed this presentation. It was something they’ve never seen before and it was refreshing to expose them to something new and relate it to the curriculum. We would like to see more presentations like this at our school in the near future.
